This company is just over 80 years' old and financially strong. Operations include the manufacture and sale of carbon black, graphite electrodes, fine carbon, friction materials, industrial furnaces, and related products.
SUMMARY:
-
Work directly with the Maintenance Supervisors to prepare Daily, Weekly, Monthly and
Annual Maintenance Work Schedules to provide direct support to the production, Co-Gen,
quality and shipping departments performing all routine running maintenance, preventive
and predictive maintenance and production unit turnarounds. -
Job performance will be judged by the effectiveness of the maintenance department in
support of plant and Co-gen production efforts including meeting plant capacity, Co-gen
output and equipment and unit service factors.

Must be comfortable with relocation to small towns in Texas Panhandle, West Texas, Louisiana and/or Fort Worth as required to progress with the Company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Works directly with the Plant EH&S Coordinators to schedule all Safety and Environmental
related Work Orders per priority and risk assessment.
Champions and Manages Plant MP2 Computerized Maintenance Management System
(CMMS) to define execute and document all Unit and Equipment Maintenance needs.
Responsible for MP2 CMMS execution requirements including

Ensuring all Department Employees are properly trained to document work required in their areas using the Work Request format only.

Document each piece of plant equipment with specific ID designation.

Preventive Maintenance requirements as defined by the equipment OEM for critical equipment is defined in MP2 and scheduled per optimum frequency.

Communicates directly with the operations, Co-Gen, lab and shipping departments and works directly with Maintenance Supervisors to prepare daily, weekly, monthly and annual Unit Turnarounds per Work Orders stored in MP2 and emergency work
needs. -
Keep current Maintenance Work Order Backlog and review with Maintenance and
Operations Supervisors on a Weekly Basis to move Work Orders to the Daily Maintenance Schedule per priority. -
Work with Maintenance Clerk to issue spare parts per Equipment Work Order.

Work with Material Warehouse Supervisor and Maintenance Clerk to define spare
parts required for all plant equipment. -
Ensure all Completed Work Order data is accurate including job tasks completed,
spare parts and man-hours used and then close the Work Order. -
Ensure all Equipment Maintenance Histories are kept current.

Prepare Weekly and Monthly reports that detail Maintenance Department Key
Performance Indicators as defined by Maintenance Superintendent. -
Assists the Maintenance Superintendent in the preparation of reports, analyze data and
plant issues and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving
maintenance-related problems. -
Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization,
maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc. -
Works with Material Warehouse Supervisor to ensure the effective use of inventories and
spare parts, maintenance supplies and equipment and optimizes costs.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s OR Associates degree

5+ years in plant maintenance, OR 3-5 years’ supervisory experience in a plant environment

Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) experience preferred

Strong preference for powder/solids chemical manufacturing industry background
-
Hands-on experience with rotating equipment reliability programs required including Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, and RCM / TPM processes
