Manufacturing Operations Manager

 

This small but continuously growing company was established in 1968 and currently employ just over 100 employees. Since 2018 they have been under new management who is greatly investing in the future of the company. 
From new product startups and large medical OEMs to design shops and contract manufacturers, they will take your new product from prototype to production (P2P) with a focus on speed, process development, technical precision and customer service.

Depending on your program needs, they create complex, injection - molded components and assemblies for medical device, life sciences and healthcare customers.

Scope of Position:

In this role, the candidate will oversee daily activity of the plant production operations and improvements.

 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Train and support staff to ensure they have the tools to meet OTD targets results and provide proper communication regarding business performance metrics on a daily basis.

  • Support the General Manager with systems and tools implementation that support company stated metrics, goals and strategic objectives. Keep team focused on performance that allows meeting and/or exceeding goals.

  • Manage company medical safety program and develop zero accident culture in the business such that the employees are empowered to positively affect safety plant wide.

  • Support activities for continuous improvement and training.

  • Provide strategic/operational direction/plans, monthly business reporting on operation results and quality on a timely basis.

  • Develop facility requirement forecasts.

  • Provide leadership and manages/develops the manufacturing organization/operations through effective coaching and supervision to meet business operating metrics.

  • Participate in customer visits and audits, completion of surveys etc. in support of sales and growth efforts.

  • Develop and maintain culture that recognizes employee contributions and encourages participation in improving the performance and success of the company.

  • Facilitate communication throughout the plant to make sure that all areas are working together toward a common goal and have timely information as to current performance.

 

Requirements and Experience:

 

  • Degree in Engineering desired but not mandatory.

  • Efficient experience in operations and/or similar role.
