Maintenance Technician

 

This small but continuously growing company was established in 1968 and currently employ just over 100 employees. Since 2018 they have been under new management who is greatly investing in the future of the company. 
From new product startups and large medical OEMs to design shops and contract manufacturers, they will take your new product from prototype to production (P2P) with a focus on speed, process development, technical precision and customer service.

Depending on your program needs, they create complex, injection - molded components and assemblies for medical device, life sciences and healthcare customers.

Scope of Position:

In this role, you will be responsible for periodic injection molding machinery and robotic maintenance.

 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Repair molding presses.

  • Adjust and/or replace switch and sensors as needed.

  • Complete reel changes and/or lead-frame changes as required.

  • Load programs and adjust automation as appropriate.

  • Maintain process logs, process monitoring and analysis.

  • Determine corrective actions when issues arise.

  • Clean Molds, grinders barrels and dryers as needed.

  • Provide continuous improvement and productivity ideas to Operations Manager.

  • Make adjustments or notify appropriate personnel as situations requires.

  • Develop documentation and standards for new processes, procedures and systems as appropriate.

  • Work closely with molding technicians to ensure equipment is assembled and has the appropriate plumbing, air and water to ensure safe and proper operation.

Requirements and Experience:

 

  • Degree in Engineering desired but not mandatory.

  • Minimum of 5+ years in troubleshooting and repairing of injection molding equipment (mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic)

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and programming PLCs.

  • Able to read blueprints.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

  • Mechanical background.

  • Able to use measurement equipment.

  • Able to work in a team environment.
